This training introduces the fundamental principles and key challenges of pharmacology within the context of preclinical studies for therapeutic antibodies.
Training Context:
The preclinical development of a therapeutic antibody involves multiple stages, each with distinct goals: proof of concept, safety evaluation (toxicology), regulatory compliance, and pharmacology assessment.
Pharmacological studies are essential to understand the effects of the biopharmaceutical on the body and to draw appropriate conclusions to move the development forward.
