Level 2 -

How to successfully negotiate your license?

Presentation

Why participate?
Gain a clear understanding of the stakes involved in licensing in order to negotiate your license under the best possible conditions, whether you are the licensor or the licensee.

Training context
Taking the step into licensing allows the licensor to generate revenue by entering new markets and accelerating the business development of their company, while the licensee can enhance their innovation strategy based on already mature research and development. This is why a licensing agreement can be particularly advantageous—provided that its terms are negotiated properly to ensure the success of the partnership between the parties, while also respecting their respective needs.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the licensing objectives for each party
  • Anticipate the critical points of a licensing negotiation
  • Understand how each party will try to protect its interests
  • Explore solutions for a successful negotiation
