Level 2 -

Immunogenicity of therapeutic proteins: mechanisms, prediction, and risk management

Presentation

Why participate?

Understand the mechanisms of immunogenicity and its implications in development, regulatory affairs, and clinical outcomes.

Training Context:

The immunogenicity of therapeutic proteins is a critical issue in biopharmaceutical development, as it affects both efficacy and safety. Understanding how these proteins trigger immune responses helps design safer and more effective treatments. Evaluating immunogenicity risk is essential to meet quality and regulatory requirements, optimize clinical outcomes, and minimize risks for patients.

Learning objectives

  • Describe the mechanisms of immunogenicity in therapeutic proteins and explain why it must be anticipated.
  • Develop a strategy to predict the immunogenicity or immune tolerance of a therapeutic protein.
  • Evaluate how immunogenicity risk management influences clinical development strategy.
  • Integrate regulatory requirements related to immunogenicity into biopharmaceutical development.

MEARY
