Osivax expects to announce final results from the booster trial in H2 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The The single-center, randomized, double-blind, Phase 2a clinical trial is being conducted at the Center for Vaccinology (CEVAC), Ghent University Hospital, in Belgium. The trial is evaluating the immunogenicity and safety of one single dose of OVX836 administered intramuscularly (IM) at either 180\u03bcg or 480\u03bcg. The study includes 117 healthy adults aged 20-64 who previously participated in Osivax\u2019 Phase 2 trials (NCT04192500 or NCT05060887), conducted 3 and 5 years ago, respectively, and who received either OVX836 (180\u03bcg, 300\u03bcg or 480\u03bcg), Influvac\u00ae Tetra, or placebo. Participants who had previously received a placebo or Influvac\u00ae Tetra now serve as controls and have received the highest dose of OVX836 (480 \u00b5g) as a primary vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cReaching the Last Patient Last Visit in this booster trial is a significant milestone for both our team and the field of influenza vaccine development,\u201d commented Prof. Isabel Leroux-Roels, Principal Investigator at CEVAC and Associate Professor at Ghent University. \u201cThis study offers the opportunity to investigate both primary and booster responses to a novel influenza vaccine over an extended time period. Unlike surface antigens, the NP is much less likely to mutate, providing a broader and more universal immune response. Osivax\u2019 oligoDOMTM technology enables the design and production of a recombinant version of the NP which self-assembles into a nanoparticle, thus triggering powerful T- and B-cell immune responses.
