PARIS, FRANCE, May 8, 2023 \u2013 AGS Therapeutics, a preclinical stage biotech company pioneering microalgae extracellular vesicles (MEV) as a new delivery system for innovative
\ntherapeutic treatments, announced the recent publication of its International Patent Application WO2023\/001894 (PCT\/EP2022\/070371) entitled Extracellular Vesicles from Microalgae, their Preparation and Uses.<\/p>\n

\u201cMEVs can be efficiently loaded with a variety of innovative payloads (including mRNA, siRNA, plasmid-DNA, ASO, peptides, and proteins) and deliver them to various specific tissues and organs, far beyond the liver and lungs\u201d said AGS Chief Operating Officer Lila Drittanti.<\/p>\n

The published patent application highlights the versatility of AGS\u2019s breakthrough universal delivery system. As far as versatility, efficiency and ease of exo-loading are concerned, MEVs easily overcome many of the challenges met by current delivery systems based on synthetic lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and mammalian extracellular vesicles.
