{"id":16962,"date":"2018-08-07T15:14:08","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T13:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mabdesign.fr\/ais2018-the-mabs-event-in-france\/"},"modified":"2023-10-17T10:48:04","modified_gmt":"2023-10-17T08:48:04","slug":"ais2018-the-mabs-event-in-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mabdesign.fr\/en\/ais2018-the-mabs-event-in-france\/","title":{"rendered":"AIS2018 &#8211; The mAbs Event in France !"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #6aa336;\"><strong>6<sup>th<\/sup> ANTIBODY INDUSTRIAL SYMPOSIUM\u00a0 2018 &#8211; AIS2018<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #6aa336;\"><strong>TARGETS FOR MABS : <\/strong>Innovative Approaches for their Discovery &amp; Validation<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4428 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/mabdesign.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/AIS2018-Image-finale-800px.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"318\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>6th edition of the Antibody Industrial Symposium (AIS2018)<\/strong> co-organized by MabDesign and the LabEx MAbImprove took place at the Corum Conference Center in Montpellier from June 25<sup>th<\/sup> to June 26<sup>th<\/sup> 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The AIS2018 Congress gathered <strong>more than 250 participants<\/strong> from over 120 companies based in 11 different countries to discuss and learn about the latest innovations on Targets for MAbs and innovative approaches for their Discovery &amp; Validation.<\/p>\n<p>This 2-days Congress welcomed <strong>30 high-profile speakers<\/strong> from both academia and industry including 4 Keynote speakers presented in 5 different sessions:<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>SESSION 1<\/strong> \u2013 Validated Targets\u00a0: lessons learned from success &amp; failure in clinical<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>SESSION 2<\/strong> \u2013 Discovery Approaches\u00a0: Accessing clinical material, Target Identification platfromes, OMICS-based analysis<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>SESSION 3<\/strong> \u2013 Pitch Session \u2013 New Approaches\/ Technologies for Discovery &amp; Validation of New Targets for mAbs<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>SESSION 4<\/strong> &#8211; Pre-Clinical Validation: Methods, Models &amp; Companion tests<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>SESSION 5<\/strong> \u2013 Emerging Targets: immunocheckpoints &amp; microenvironment<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the event enabled the presentation of <strong>10 Pitches<\/strong> carefully selected by the Scientific Advisory Board based on the Innovation of their project as well as the presentation of <strong>more than 30 Posters<\/strong> during the 2 Poster sessions.<\/p>\n<p>The AIS2018 delegates represented by a large variety of countries; including Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA but also Thailand, decided to award the <strong>Best Pitch<\/strong> to Pierre Martineau from IRCM and iMAb for his work on New innovative synthetic human libraries, and the <strong>Best Poster<\/strong> to Charline Ogier from IRCM on her research on a New therapeutic treatment for pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The AIS2018 allowed to realize <strong>more than 250 B2B meetings<\/strong>, meet and find new collaborators and stablish news business relationships.
